Zignago Vetro has consistently placed a particular focus on the environment and believes in eco-sustainable development. The production facilities are equipped with water consumption reduction and waste treatment plant. Bag filter and electrostatic precipitator plant purify the kiln emissions.

The Portogruaro facility, mainly engaged in the production of Cosmetic & Perfumery containers, for all electric energy needs runs on renewable resources from installed photovoltaic panels and the biomass station of the nearby Zignago Power.

The use of recycled glass (cullet) - in particular at the Empoli facility dedicated to the production of Food & Beverages containers and in which up to 90% of cullet is used - ensures fossil fuel energy savings, the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and of the use of virgin raw materials.

The environmental commitment of Zignago extends not only to the production facilities but also to the product range, drawing on highly refined Italian design to produce increasingly lighter Food & Beverages containers, with consequent energy and raw materials savings, in addition to streamlined finished product transport costs.
